Membership
Qualifications for Membership
Persons, eighteen years and over, who are descendants of pioneers who
resided in Alberta, south of Township 40 (which is just north of Red Deer), prior to December 31, 1890
may apply for membership. To apply, complete one of the Active Membership Forms
and supply your proof of descendancy (use our
family history form).
A prospective member may wish to examine
the 1891 Alberta census
(using Northwest Territories as the Province and Alberta as the District Name when
searching), Pioneer Families of Southern Alberta
, which can be seen on the Alberta Historical Digitization Project.

Library of the the Glenbow Museum and the Castell Central Library. Also
search the fonds and newspaper clippings at the Glenbow Archives and
the Alberta Room fouth floor Castell Central Library. For further information,

Subject to availability, members may use the Memorial Building for
funeral receptions free of charge, except for clean-up. Catering is
the responsibility of the member.

Have an extract of your Pioneer's family history included in the

Preferential Rates on Rentals of the Memorial Building for family functions

List your Pioneers name and date of Arrival on the Centennial Gate
